The death has occurred of Paul Flannery

Beloved husband of Phil and much loved father of Karl, Paul, Gisele and Anne. Deeply mourned and sadly missed by his wife, sons and daughters, brother James, sister Sadie (Michels), daughter-in-law Susan, sons-in-law Peter and Stephen, his adored grandsons David and Darren, brother-in-law Tommy Heffernan, sister-in-law Margaret Flannery, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his home for family and close friends on Tuesday, 7th December, 2021, from 5.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. Removal to Christ the King Church, Salthill on Wednesday, 8th December, 2021 to arrive for Requiem Mass at 11.30 a.m. Funeral after Mass to Rahoon Cemetery.

In accordance with Covid-19 regulations, Paul’s family have requested that all those attending his funeral maintain social distancing guidelines, wear a mask and avoid shaking hands.


Tom Murphy RIP

The death has occurred of Tom Murphy
The Maples, Salthill, Galway / Athlone, Westmeath

  • Tom Murphy
Formerly Beechpark, Athlone, Co. Westmeath. Tom passed away after a short illness in the gentle care of the staff in GUH on 1st December, 2021. Predeceased by his infant sister Maryann. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Mary, sons Mike and Niall, grandchildren Claire, Emma, Dara, Fionn and Oissine, brother John, daughters-in-law Deirdre and Anne, nieces, nephews, carers and many friends.

Private removal to the Church of Christ the King, Salthill, on Tuesday, 7th. December. Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Funeral after Mass to Annaghdown Cemetery. Nora Naughton RIP

The death has occurred of Nora Naughton (née Heaney)
Devon Park, Salthill, Galway

  • Nora Naughton
Peacefully at home in her 92nd year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Dan and by her sister Mary Prendergast.

She will be forever loved and missed by her children Mary, Margie, Theresa, Caitríona, Eamonn, Una and Helen, her adored grandchildren Cian, Éanna, Róisín, Órlaith, Sinéad, Michael, Joseph, Darragh, Áine, Aoife, Conor, Eoin, Siobhán, Éabha, Tom and Fionnuala, her siblings Una Heaney, Margo O’Gorman and Paddy Heaney, sons-in-law Padraig, Shane, Tom, David, Ken, Brian and daughter-in-law Marina, the extended family, wonderful neighbours and friends.

Nora will leave from her home on Monday, 6th December, 2021 to arrive at the Church of Christ the King, Salthill for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Funeral after Mass to Rahoon Cemetery.
