Thomas O’Donoghue R.I.P.

The death has occurred of Thomas O’DONOGHUE
Salthill, Galway / Clontarf, Dublin

O’Donoghue, (Salthill, Galway and late of Clontarf) on the 26th January 2019 (peacefully) at Beaumont Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, Thomas, beloved husband of the late Kathleen and loving father of Geraldine (O’Neill), Miriam (O’Shaughnessy) and Deirdre (O’Gorman). Sadly missed by his loving family, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Rest in Peace

Reposing in the Kirwan Funeral Home, Fairview Strand on Tuesday evening from 4pm until 6pm. Removal from his residence in Salthill, Galway on Thursday morning to the Church of Christ the King, Salthill for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by funeral to Rahoon Cemetery.


Mairead McGuire R.I.P.

87 Threadneedle Road, Salthill, Galway. (Formerly Gurteen), (peacefully) at Galway Hospice, surrounded by her family, loving wife of Ray, adored mother of David, Deirdre, AnneMarie and Sarah, gentle Gaga to her loving grandchildren, Amy, Lianna, Laura, Juliette, Sarah, Alison, Jonathan and Sophie. Sadly missed by her sisters Noreen and Anne, brother John, daughter-in-law Caroline, sons-in-law Enda, Tommy and Dave, extended family, neighbours and friends. Reposing at her home on Sunday 27th January from 4.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. Removal on Monday 28th January to Christ the King Church, Salthill to arrive for Requiem Mass at 11.00 a.m. Funeral afterwards to Rahoon Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to Galway Hospice. House private on Monday morning.

The death has occurred of Phyllis BYRNE (née Devery)
Dalysfort Road, Salthill, Galway

Peacefully) in her 94th year, beloved wife of the late Major General Dermot and much loved mother of Jim, Deirdre, Nicky and the late Vinny. Sadly missed by her sons and daughter, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, neighbours and friends. Reposing at the O’ Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway on Monday 21st January from 4.00 p.m. with Removal at 6.00 p.m. to Christ the King Church, Salthill. Funeral after 11.00 a.m. Requiem Mass on Tuesday 22nd January to Rahoon Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to the Stroke Unit, University Hospital Galway. House Private.

(formerly Crossmolina and Connacht House, Athlone and late of St. Mary’s residential care centre, Galway), (peacefully) at University Hospital Galway, Bridie,(Third Order of St. Francis). Predeceased by her husband Felim, sisters Mary, Ann and her brother Gerry. Sadly missed by her daughter Mary, sons Emmet and Dermot, son-in-law Mick, daughters-in-law Mary and Kay, sisters Una and Kathleen, brother Sean, sister-in-law TC, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends. Reposing at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway on Monday 14th January from 4.00 p.m. with Removal at 6.00 p.m. to Christ the King Church, Salthill. Funeral after 12 noon Requiem Mass on Tuesday 15th January to the New Cemetery, Bohermore.

Clybaun Close, Clybaun Road, Galway. 29th December 2018. Beloved husband of Caroline (Loughnane) and dearly loved father of Isabel. Sadly, missed by his heartbroken family, his brothers Nick, Tony and Michael, his father and mother-in-law Patrick and Anne Loughnane, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, his aunt Jennifer, nieces, nephews, extended family, NUI Galway colleagues, neighbours and friends
