The death has occurred of Breeda JACOBSEN (née CANNEY)
Rockbarton Park, Salthill, Galway

The death has occurred of Breeda JACOBSEN (née CANNEY)formerly Rockbarton Park, Salthill, Galway, 17th December, 2019, (peacefully) at home in Sweden; beloved wife of Björn and adored mother of Marianne, Johan and Oisín, much loved daughter of Pat and Kathleen, big sister to Nicola and James and best auntie to Megan, Kate, Leila and John. Sadly missed and deeply mourned by her husband, daughter and sons, the Canney and Jacobsen family, brother-in-law Paddy, nephew and nieces, aunts and uncles, cousins, relatives, friends and work colleagues.

Requiem Mass to celebrate the life of our Breeda will take place at the Church of Christ the King, Salthill on Monday 30th December at 11.00 a.m. Funeral to take place in Sweden. Breeda will be laid to rest at Skogskapellet, Jönköping on Monday 13th January 2020.

Much loved father &  mother of Mary, Lisa, Edward and Anthony. Sadly missed by her sons and daughters, daughters-in-law Susan and Fiona, son-in-law Kevin, her eleven grandchildren, relatives and friends.

Arriving at the Church of Christ the King, Salthill on Friday, 20th December, 2019 for Requiem Mass at 11 a.m. for both Dympna and Donal (R.I.P.)

Paddy Whelan, Carragh Hill, Salthill, Galway and formerly of Walkinstown Road, Dublin. December 17th 2019. Peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Colette and much loved father of Nicola (Doran), Emma (Flynn) and Amanda (Henry). Sadly missed by his wife, daughters, sons in law Jim, Julien and Daragh, grandchildren Laura, Jonathon, Max, Ruben, Julien, Deborah and Eva, sister Helen (Dublin), brothers Fergal (Malta) and Derek (Australia), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Rest in Peace

Reposing at The Cillian, adjacent to the Church of Immaculate Mary Queen, Barna on Wednesday from 5.00pm until 7.00pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday in Christ the King Church, Salthill at 12.00 noon with cremation to follow at Shannon Crematorium at 5.00pm.


Terry Barrett R.I.P.

The death has occurred of Terry (Mary Teresa) Barrett (née Ruane)
Lower Salthill, Galway / Menlough, Galway

Dearly beloved wife of Michael, much loved mother of Geraldine Byrne (Galway) and Adrian (Sligo), adored grandmother of Lauren and Andrew, Killian, Clodagh and Sheana and sister of Pete, Stephen and Noel. Terry will be very sadly missed by her husband, daughter and son, son-in-law Damien, daughter-in-law Carol, grandchildren, brothers, the extended Barrett and Ruane families, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at the O’Flaherty funeral parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway (H91 V1K8) on Sunday 15th December from 2.30 p.m. with Removal at 4.30 p.m. to the Church of Christ the King, Salthill (H91T8F5). Requiem Mass on Monday, 6th December at 12 noon. Funeral after Mass to Rahoon Cemetery. Family flowers only please.

Peacefully after a short illness at Coral Haven Nursing Home, Headford Road, Galway. Deeply regretted by his brothers Patrick Joseph, Hugh, Cornelius and Gerard Anthony, nephews Patrick and Dominic, nieces Geraldine, Maura and Ruth, grandnephews Xavier Joseph Brian and Darragh Anthony, sisters-in-law Wendy and Mary, relatives and many friends. Arriving at Christ the King Church, Salthill Galway on Thursday 12th December for Requiem Mass at 11.00 a.m. Funeral after Mass to Forthill cemetery. Family flowers only. House Private.
