The death has occurred of John (Paddy) Lydon
Burrenview Heights, Salthill, Galway / Ballinrobe, Mayo

Burrenview Heights, Salthill (Formerly Carramore, Ballinrobe), (peacefully) at home, surrounded by his loving family, beloved husband of Catherine and much loved father of John, Paul and Loretta; sadly missed by his wife, sons and daughter, sisters Ann, Margaret and Rose, brother Mick, son-in-law Robert, daughter-in-law Carmen, grandchildren Diego, Andrea, Eoin and Niamh, extended family, neighbours and friends. Reposing at his home on Sunday 31st March from 5.00 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. Removal on Monday 1st April to Christ the King Church, Salthill to arrive for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to Rahoon cemetery. House private please on Monday morning. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to Galway Hospice.

(Brigadier General retired), (peacefully), beloved husband of Carmel and much loved father of Orla, Cathal, Caimin and Shane. Sadly missed by his wife, daughter and sons, sisters Siobhan, Marguerite, Carmel and Colette, brother Eamon, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren, extended family and friends. Reposing at his home on Friday 29th March from 4.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. Removal on Saturday 30th March to Christ the King Church, Salthill to arrive for Requiem Mass at 11.00 a.m. Funeral afterwards to Rahoon cemetery. Reposing at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway on Friday 22nd March from 5.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. Removal on Saturday 23rd March to Christ the King Church, Salthill to arrive for Requiem Mass at 11.00 a.m. Private cremation to follow.

The death has occurred of Ita Owens (née O’Kelly)
Salthill, Galway

(Peacefully) at home in her 98th year, beloved wife of Joe and much loved mother of Miriam and Ron; sadly missed by her husband, daughter and son, sister Alacoque, son-in-law Liam, daughter-in-law Danielle, grandchildren Catherine, David, Mark and Gavin, extended family, neighbours and friends. Reposing at the O’ Flaherty Funeral parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway on Sunday 10th March from 5.00 p.m. with Removal at 6.30 p.m. to Christ the King Church, Salthill. Requiem Mass at 12 noon on Monday 11th March. Private cremation to follow.

Catherine (Kitty) Geoghegan (née Clancy)
Lenaboy Park, Salthill, Galway / Rahoon, Galway

(Formerly of Tonabruckey, Rahoon) (peacefully) at the Galway Hospice; Beloved wife of Patrick J. and much loved mother of Marian, Terence, Antoinette and Joseph. Sadly missed by her loving husband, sons and daughters, son-in-law Joe Kelliher, daughters-in-law Rosemary and Olga, sister Áine, brothers Luke and Tommy, cherished grandchildren Mark, Matthew, Diarmaid and Róisín, great grandchildren Jack, James and Maurice, her loving and devoted carer Joy, extended family and friends. Reposing at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway on Tuesday, 5th March from 5 p.m. with Removal at 7 p.m. to the Church of Christ the King, Salthill. Requiem Mass on Wednesday, 6th March at 12 noon followed by a private cremation. No flowers by request. Memorial donations (if wished) to the Galway Hospice.

Her work is done, the journey is over, may she rest in peace.
