The death has occurred of  Nora Murphy (née Nee)
Galway City, Galway / Clifden, Galway / Carrick-on-Shannon, Leitrim / Dalkey, Dublin

Coral Haven Nursing Home, Galway, formerly Carrick-on-Shannon and Dalkey and born in Clifden in 1918) (in her 102nd year) (peacefully) in the loving care of the management and staff of the nursing home. Beloved wife of the late Frank and much loved mother of Fr. Seamus S.J., Anthony, Barbara Garvey and Dr. Marie. Sadly missed by her sons and daughters, son-in-law Seán, grandsons Shane and Brian Garvey, sister-in-law Eithne Tobin, nieces and nephews, their families and friends.

A Private Mass will be offered on Thursday, 28th May, at 12 noon at the Church of Christ the King, Salthill. This Mass may be viewed by searching Salthill Parish Webcam. Nora will be laid to rest privately in Rahoon cemetery following Mass. Those who would like to attend the funeral but cannot due to the current restrictions on gatherings are invited to leave a message on the condolence page below this notice.

Stella Maria, Rosary Lane, Taylor’s Hill, Galway and formerly of Clifden and Carna Co. Galway and Ennistymon, Co. Clare, May 15th 2020, suddenly at Stella Maria; predeceased by her parents James and Nellie and sister-in-law Anne; deeply regretted by her sisters Sr. Nancy, Sr. Enda and Sr. Eileen (Mercy Sisters), her brothers Bro. J.J.(C.B.S. Dublin), Neil (Ashbourne, Co. Meath), her niece Edel and nephew John, Srs. of Mercy, Western Province and her many friends.

Due to HSE and Government guidelines her funeral will be private. Mass will be celebrated in the Church of Christ the King, Salthill on Wednesday 11.00a.m.and will be live streamed at Private burial in Gort Cemetery.

Carmel Maher R.I.P.

MAHER (neé Owens), Carmel (formally of Devon Court,  Salthill and Tuam) April 29, 2020 – peacefully in Leeson Park Nursing Home, Dublin 4. Predeceased by her loving husband Dr. Daniel Maher (Tuam), sisters Maureen and Nancy and brother-in-law Emmet. Sadly missed by her cousin Tommy and family. Much loved mother of Dan, Vincent, Declan, Martina and Joanne. She will be sorely missed by her heart broken family, her daughters-in-law Veronique, Majella and Elma, sons-in-law Seamas and Stephen, her thirteen beloved grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews, Emer, Tony, Gerard and Trish. Special thanks to all the wonderful, kind and caring staff of Lesson Park Nursing Home, who looked after Mom so well in her final years.

May she Rest in Peace.

In keeping with HSE advice and Government restrictions, a private funeral will take place at 12.30 p.m., in Christ the King Church, Salthill, Galway on Monday 4th May 2020, followed by burial at the New Cemetery Bohermore, Galway.
