The death has occurred of Martin Joyce
University Park, Newcastle Road, Galway City, Galway

  • Martin Joyce
 Formerly Threadneedle Road, Salthill, Galway. Peacefully at University Hospital Galway. Beloved husband of Mary and much loved father of Paul. Predeceased by his brother Peadar and by his sisters Marie and recently deceased Olive. Deeply mourned and sadly missed by his wife and son, brother John, sister Keyna, brothers-in-law Patrick and Michael, sisters-in-law Margaret, Anne and Eileen, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at the O’ Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway (H91 V1K8) on Friday 29 April from 3.00 p.m. with Removal at 5.00 p.m. to the Church of Christ the King , Salthill to arrive at 5.30 p.m. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Martin at 11.00 a.m. on Saturday, 30 April.

Maureen O’Connor RIP

The death has occurred of Maureen O’Connor
Knocknacarra, Galway

 Maureen passed away peacefully at University Hospital Galway, surrounded by her loving family. Deeply mourned and sadly missed by her son John, daughter Sharon, brothers Frank, Albert, Eugene, Paschal, Vincent and Raymond, daughter-in-law Carmel, sisters-in-law, her adored grandchildren Danielle, Joshua and Charlotte, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway (H91 V1K8) on Tuesday, 26th April, 2022, from 5.30pm with removal at 7.00pm to Christ the King Church, Salthill. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Maureen on Wednesday 27th April, 2022 at 11.00 a.m. Funeral after Mass to Rahoon Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Margaret O’Gorman (née Heaney)

  • Margaret O'Gorman
 (Formerly Belmount, Milltown, Co. Galway). Peacefully at Moycullen Nursing home, beloved wife of Séamus and much loved mother of Mary, Jimmy, Niall, Vincent and Terry. Deeply mourned and sadly missed by her husband, daughter and sons, brother Paddy, sister Una, grandchildren, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at the O’ Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway (H91 V1K8) on Friday 22nd April, 2022 from 3.30 p.m. with Removal at 4.30 p.m. to Christ the King Church, Salthill. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Margaret on Saturday 23rd April at 10.00 a.m. Funeral after Mass to Rahoon Cemetery.

Nancy Coen RIP

The death has occurred of Nancy Coen (née Cormican)
Rockbarton Road, Salthill, Galway / Athenry, Galway

  • Nancy Coen
 Formerly of Raford, Kiltullagh, Co. Galway. Following wonderful care at home with her beloved family by her side. Dearly loved wife of the late Jimmy and much loved mother of David and Gerald. Deeply mourned and sadly missed by her sons and sister Maisie, daughter-in-law Irene, first cousins Carmel and Geraldine, the extended Coen and Burke family and many friends.

Reposing at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway H91 VIK8 on Monday afternoon 11th April, 2022 from 2.00 p.m. with Removal to the Church of Christ the King, Salthill at 3.30 p.m. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Nancy at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, 12th April, 2022. Funeral after Mass to the new cemetery, Bohermore.

 Peacefully at University Hospital Galway, beloved sister of Keyna, Martin, John and the late Peadar and Marie and cherished aunt and grandaunt. Deeply mourned and sadly missed by her sister and brothers, sister-in-law Mary, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her home on Friday, 8th April, 2022 from 5.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. followed by Removal to Christ the King Church, Salthill to arrive at 8.00 p.m. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Olive at 10.30 a.m. on Saturday 9th April. Funeral after Mass to Rahoon Cemetery.
